PRIVACY POLICY

ISKCON BHUVAIKUNTHA
Effective Date: 30 August 2026

International Society for Krishna Consciousness (“ISKCON”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) respects the privacy of devotees, donors, visitors, and users of the ISKCON Bhuvaikuntha mobile application, website, and related digital services (collectively, the “Services”).

This may involve the use of secure authentication tokens, session identifiers, local application storage, or other authentication mechanisms necessary to maintain the signed-in state.

These mechanisms are used for authentication and application functionality. Users may be required to sign in again if, for example:

  • They log out;
  • The authentication session expires;
  • Application data is cleared;
  • The application is reinstalled;
  • The account is changed;
  • A security-related re-authentication is required; or

The application may use an operating-system photo picker, media picker, camera, or other permitted mechanism for selecting or capturing an image.

Where device permission is required, the application will request the relevant permission.

Photo access is intended to be used only for functionality initiated by the user, such as selecting or uploading a profile photograph or other supported content.

Users may deny or revoke applicable camera/photo permissions through their device settings. If permission is denied, the related photo functionality may not be available.

6. CAMERA ACCESS

If the user chooses a feature that requires taking a photograph, the application may request camera access.

Camera access will only be used for the functionality for which access is requested.

ISKCON Bhuvaikuntha does not intentionally activate the device camera in the background for unrelated monitoring or surveillance.

Users can revoke camera permission through their Android or iOS settings.

7. GOTRA AND SANKALPA

Payment providers operate under their own terms, security practices, and privacy policies. When users interact with a payment provider, information processed directly by that provider may be governed by the provider's privacy policy and terms.

ISKCON is not responsible for independent processing performed by third-party payment providers outside ISKCON's control. Users are encouraged to review the relevant payment provider's terms and privacy information.

16. NOTIFICATIONS

ISKCON Bhuvaikuntha may request permission to send notifications. Notifications may include:

On operating systems that require permission, notifications will be enabled only after the relevant permission is granted.

Users can disable notifications at any time through the application's available settings or their Android/iOS notification settings. Disabling optional notifications will not prevent the use of unrelated application functionality.

17. PUSH NOTIFICATION INFORMATION

To deliver push notifications, the application or its notification service provider may process a device/application notification token or similar technical identifier.

Such identifiers are used to route notifications to the appropriate application installation. Notification tokens are not intended to be used by ISKCON to obtain the content of unrelated communications on your device.

If the user disables notifications, notification delivery may stop according to the operating system and notification service configuration.

An IP address may be processed for network communication, server operation, security, fraud prevention, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, and technical logging. An IP address may provide an approximate geographic area as part of ordinary internet operation. This is different from accessing precise GPS location.

20. LOCATION INFORMATION

ISKCON Bhuvaikuntha does not intentionally access precise GPS location unless a particular application feature actually requires location and the user grants the required operating-system permission.

If a feature requiring precise or approximate device location is introduced or used, the application will request the appropriate permission and provide the relevant purpose disclosure as required. Users may deny or revoke location permission through their device settings. The application does not use an IP address as a substitute for undisclosed continuous precise-location tracking.

  • Gallery images
  • Videos
  • PDFs

22. DOWNLOADS

Where available, users may download permitted content from the application, including images, PDFs, receipts, videos, or other devotional resources.

Downloaded files may be stored on the user's device according to the device's operating-system and storage settings. Once a file has been downloaded to the user's device, management and deletion of that local copy may be controlled by the user and the operating system.

23. DEVOTIONAL CONTENT

The application may provide devotional and temple-related content, including Daily Darshan, galleries, videos, Kirtans, lectures, temple information, schedules, festival updates, notices, and spiritual resources.

When users access this content, ordinary technical information required to deliver the content may be processed by the application or relevant infrastructure provider.

ISKCON Bhuvaikuntha may contain links to external websites, applications, or services (including ISKCON websites, payment services, video platforms, social media, maps, and communication services).

When you open an external service, you may become subject to that service's privacy policy and terms. ISKCON does not control the independent privacy practices of third-party websites or applications.

26. COOKIES, LOCAL STORAGE AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

Web-based portions of the Services may use cookies, local storage, session storage, authentication tokens, or similar technologies where necessary for maintaining login sessions, remembering user preferences, authentication, security, application functionality, performance, and fraud prevention.

Where promotional communications require consent or an opt-out mechanism, appropriate controls will be provided. Essential transactional, security, or service communications may still be sent where necessary and permitted.

29. CONSENT

Where consent is required, it may be obtained through application permission prompts, opt-in controls, checkboxes, donation forms, account/profile controls, operating-system permission dialogs, or other clear consent mechanisms.

Consent for one purpose does not automatically constitute consent for unrelated processing.

  • Revoke camera permission
  • Revoke photo/media permission
  • Revoke location permission if applicable

We may use third-party service providers to operate portions of the Services (such as payment processing, hosting, database services, mobile-number authentication, OTP delivery, push notifications, email/SMS delivery, streaming, security, and diagnostics).
